9' Patio door install

Removal of existing 9' by 6'8" patio door.  Original thermal glass was breached with moisture and did not operation correctly.  Problem was identified as two issues.  Originally the rough opening was to tight.  Original door was installed to this tight opening.  Door quickly failed due to limit expansion, this also put pressure on the glass seal causing the breach.  Additional note as well, this location is close to the shore.  The original door was of alumium construction.  A vinyl door product should have been installed originally since they hold up better to the element.  Unfortunately the homeowner has to replace 2 patio doors.

  1. You installed in effective way. I am not good in aluminum handling. What tools you exactly use while installing external sliding doors? Advice?
